THE POWERFUL MEANING BEHIND THE NAME

RAE

"Lightkeeper of the Keys of the Earth"

KAI

After a day of brainstorming names for my business, I went to bed excited about a couple of great name contenders that had transpired. Later that same night, I woke in the middle of the night and received a message, a name that was to be my business name. I was no longer asleep and the name was not only spelled out but I also heard how it was to be pronounced. I got out of bed and scribbled it down on a piece of paper.

When I awoke the next morning I remembered the message but not the name itself and hoped that I had in fact gotten up to write it down. I came out to the living room relieved to find the piece of paper and knew right away what the 'Rae' part represented as it's my middle name and means 'Light.' I spent some time searching the word 'Kai' to find it's meaning and found it's a word used in numerous languages. I finally came upon the one that made it all click together. In Scandinavian, which is my family's background it means 'Keeper of the Keys of the Earth.' With such a powerful meaning and how it had been shown to me, I knew my business in that moment had been born. All together the words Rae Kai (pronounced Ray Kye) mean ‘Light Keeper of the Keys of the Earth.’

I believe that the true "Key of the Earth" is staying connected to nature. Nature helps us to recharge, connect and clear our mind. To find a new found wonder and sense of adventure. Nature enhances our physical health as well as our emotional well being. It does wonders for your spirit. It uplifts your mood, increases your energy and inspires you to be present. Return to the wilderness and return to yourself.
